INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR FAA BASIC MEDICAL EXAM
To schedule an appointment call 503-234-1531 x9
BasicMed is an alternative to the FAA's medical certification requirements available to noncommercial aviators who have previously held a first, second, or third-class airman medical certificate. The FAA now allows pilots flying under BasicMed to act as safety pilots without being the pilot in command. The material is in simple, direct terms, with steps, warnings, and Facts and Questions to improve clarity and consistency.
The homepage offers a clear introduction, including eligibility and requirements. The course presentation has been streamlined and incorporates resources previously found on other pages.
They have built a dedicated path that guides the pilots who accidentally complete the online course before visiting their doctor on how to get back on track.
You may also reach AOPA's Pilot Information Center, where medical specialists can be reached by phone at 888-462-3976 to assist you with any questions you may have.
