Comprehensive Family Care

Greetings!  Welcome to the practice here on Division Street.  I enjoy working here since both myself and my colleagues all have a similar style and philosophy of practice.  My practice is continually evolving as I continue my studies in anthroposophical medicine, integrative medicine and conventional medicine, and continue to weave them together into a unique form of practice for my patients and myself.

I enjoy seeing people of all ages, from newborn to geriatric, from all walks of life.  My job is a bridge, to meet people at whatever point they are in their journey, and to serve as a guide to empower them with information and options so they can decide what decisions they want to make to move forward in their lives.  I  see patients for newborn/pediatric exams, adult male and female physical exams, including pap smears, nutritional counseling,  urgent care, hormone replacement therapy including bioidentical hormone replacement, homeopathic consultation and treatment, sports physicals, dermatological procedures, and integrative/holistic approaches to diagnosis and treatment.

I am board certified in both Family and Integrative Holistic Medicine.  I have a master’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois and conducted postgraduate vaccine research as well as research in breast feeding and birthing options.  I have also completed formal training in nutrition and Anthroposophical medicine.

I recently gave a talk after a showing of “Not Dead Yet, The Movie.”  I encouraged the audience to stop, and at this moment, look at themselves and see where they were in their lives.  I ask you the same question; do you like what you see?  Do you like how you feel?  Do you like where things are going?  Why, or why not?  Try not to only think the answers, but feel the answers.  When we get out of our heads and into our bodies, we can be surprised by what comes up for us.

I am currently enjoying training for marathons, running 5K races with my children, training and fundraising for the Susan Komen Race for the Cure, and singing.  I also enjoy working in my garden and look forward to getting out and around Portland this summer.  Feel free to visit my Susan Komen website and blog as I train for the 60-mile walk for the cure late this summer.  I look forward to meeting you and sharing the journey!
